So, there’s this thing called Roadcraft, right? Saber Interactive’s been on a roll with their Runner series. They started with Mudrunner in 2017. Then we got Snowrunner and even something called Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game. I guess they really like their mud and off-roading. Anyway, they somehow keep making these games better and better—like, who knew off-roading could be such a ride? But Roadcraft, oh boy, it’s like they took all their know-how and just nailed it. It’s got that detail-obsessed vibe but with some construction fun thrown in. People are eating it up, and Focus Entertainment’s parent company is practically doing a happy dance about it. Seriously, they’re calling it one of their “most successful launches.”
Now, Ed, who’s usually got a thing or two to say, reckons Roadcraft proves you can turn even the weirdest ideas into awesome games. Something about how it’s more rewarding than some crazy RPG or shooter. Maybe he’s onto something, maybe he’s not. Who can tell these days?
But yeah, people seem to be loving it. Launch day was like, bam! Player numbers soared on Steam. Roadcraft’s apparently got over 600,000 players. Pullup Entertainment, the big boss over at Focus, is pretty chuffed too. Their CEO, Geoffroy Sardin, he was all about the “excellent first few weeks.” Seems like Roadcraft’s riding a wave of success.
And hey, there’s a video or something about it. If you’re curious to see this Roadcraft magic, maybe check it out on Steam or wishlist it or whatever. But if you’re like, “nah, I want more,” there’s a whole list of sandbox games and building games on PC to scratch that itch.
Oh, and if you’re eager for more gaming chatter, we’ve got all sorts of news and reviews and stuff on Google News. Our Discord’s popping too, if that’s your scene. Hang out there, chat about Roadcraft or, like, anything else with some cool folks and fellow game nerds. Fun times, right?
