Earlier today, I found myself in the bizarre realm of Elden Ring Nightreign, where servers decided to take a little nap. Well, more like a maintenance thing for a patch drop. It’s not exactly a big deal—version 1.01.2, they call it—so don’t expect fireworks.
What does this patch even do? A couple of bug fixes, mostly. Oh, and some nerfs. Yup, they’re at it again. One of them you might not have even noticed—go figure.
Nightreign’s update strolls in just after last week’s patch, which hit on June 2. That one had a bit more oomph, but this one’s quieter. Two balance changes jump out, though.
So first off, there was this bug, right? It, uh, boosted the physical attack of adding Magic, Lightning, whatever to your weapon. Totally unexpected. Bows were affected. Folks have been all over bows lately, so maybe it’s a big deal to them. I feel for you bow enthusiasts.
And the other tweak? Well, certain weapon skills had non-direct attacks doing weird stuff—like upping attribute attack power and, weirdly enough, causing status ailments. Talk about unintended side effects, right? That’s fixed, too, so weapon power fantasies might take a hit.
Oh, and there’s this image—The Recluse standing in Limgrave. The sky’s this moody purple… classic Elden Ring ambiance. Kudos to FromSoft for keeping the drama alive, I guess.
Elsewhere, weapons with this Projectile Damage reduction are supposedly more discoverable now. Nice touch for treasure hunters, I’d say. Oh, and Demon Merchant in Limveld—remember them? They’ll actually show up now. No more wild goose chases. Phew!
Patch notes? Yeah, they fixed quite a bit:
– Magic/Lightning/Holy-to-bow bug? History.
– That pesky non-direct attack ailment? Bye-bye.
– Projectile Damage dropout weapons are now where they should be.
– Demon Merchant—finally reliable.
– Libra the Creature of Night… less repetitive.
– Battle chaos with Adel, Baron of Night? Calmed.
– Wormface grab issues? Rescuers rejoice—it’s possible again.
FromSoft hinted more bugs might lurk, though. Classic. So, while sleuths figure out Nightreign’s rarest item, downtime or not, our handy guide stands by—your 24/7 ally in Elden Ring madness.
