Here we go. So, Twisted Pixel, yeah? They’re up to some wild stuff again. This time with Marvel’s Deadpool VR. And guess who’s voicing Deadpool? Neil Patrick Harris. Yep, the dude does it all. Making this a VR novella of chaotic proportions set to drop, maybe this year. Crazy, right?
Twisted Pixel hasn’t really been out there since Meta scooped them up in 2022. Kinda like a long break—I think? Anyway… Now they’re gearing up to launch this game strictly for Quest 3 and 3S. Exclusive, fancy stuff. There’s even a reveal trailer—somewhere. Maybe watch it if you want?
So, okay, picture this: Deadpool gets zapped into Mojoworld. Why? Who knows. But he spots a chance to get seriously loaded. Like, cash raining from the sky kind of loaded. But, classic Deadpool, he signs some sketchy contract without even squinting at the fine print. Adventure or disaster—or both.
Here’s the kicker. You get to explore all over the Marvel universe. Fighting—get this—iconic and not-so-iconic baddies. It’s a wild metaverse adventure… not like the VR kind though. More Marvel-y. Twisted Pixel has this knack for mixing Deadpool’s parkour antics with combat flair, straight outta Path of the Warrior days. If you ever played that.
And in VR, if you dream it, it’s yours. Yeah, you could just shoot bad guys. Yawn. Or—and hear me out—punch them while clenching a grenade? Oh yeah. Hand gone? Fling it at the enemies. Yuck. But also, cool points. Press a face into a propeller? Grossly satisfying. Imaginative dismemberment, they got it covered. Think soldiers, demonic dogs, humanoid lizards—worms too. Why not?
We actually took a sneak peek at a partial game build of Deadpool VR. There’s a preview floating around somewhere. No idea how I got roped into this, but hey, surreal adventures might be my secret jam.
