Apple’s innovative AI toolkit, known as Apple Intelligence, is making its way to Vision Pro with the public unveiling of visionOS 2.4 set for April. However, eager developers need not wait, as activating developer mode gives access to these features right now.
Vision Pro users can expect an array of cutting-edge AI functionalities. This includes advanced writing assistance, the creation of AI-crafted images, smart responses to messages, intuitive language searches in Photos, handy AI-generated summaries, and personalized emojis. All these improvements, which have been gradually rolled out on iOS and Mac since last October, will find a new edge as Vision Pro strongly integrates voice and hand inputs for text entry.

The upcoming Vision Pro update also promises enhanced Guest User mode functionality, allowing easy device sharing through iPhones or iPads. This improvement streamlines the process of introducing friends and family to the joys of Vision Pro, potentially avoiding the typical “tap this icon—oh wait, not that one” confusion often encountered when demonstrating a new gadget.
VisionOS 2.4 will also debut Spatial Gallery—a thoughtfully curated assortment of immersive photos, videos, and panoramas created by talented artists, filmmakers, and photographers. This feature is scheduled to be available in various countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and others across the globe.
In addition to AI improvements, Vision Pro will see tighter synchronization with iOS come the official release of visionOS 2.4 in April. This update will enable users to queue app and game downloads, explore spatial experiences, and access device details via a new Apple Vision Pro iOS app, which debuts alongside iOS 18.4.
Initially, these enhancements will be available only in U.S. English, though Apple plans to extend features and language support throughout the year. While April marks the broad release window, a developer beta for visionOS 2.4 is already live. Developers keen to dive in can activate this by heading to Settings > Privacy & Security, enabling “Developer Mode,” and restarting their Vision Pro device.
