Okay, so XR Games dropped some news today. Their rhythm game, BEATABLE, just ditched the whole early access thing on Quest. And guess what? It’s packed with stuff that’ll probably make you slam your desk to the beat. Yeah, pretty wild idea—no controllers at all. Just your Quest 2 and bam, you’re hitting notes like a pro.
Anyway, so this big update is doing its thing. Back in April, they threw in five songs right after they went early access. Now it’s like, “Hey, let’s mix it up.” You heard me right, they’re adding a custom song and map editor. Imagine making your own track, battling it out with friends. Could get pretty competitive, right?
Now it’s got 24 songs, if that’s your thing. Half of them, well, they were there in early access. But there’s this Spotify playlist if you wanna dig deeper—anime tunes by Kudo Haruka and some other dude, Mikee Goodman, going heavy.
When I tried it out in April, there was this whole issue with hitting the notes perfectly. Didn’t ruin it, but it was there. Now they’ve got this fancy gesture detection, so they say you’ll hit every beat. Also, it’s looking sharper.
If you’re curious, the game’s on Horizon Store for Quest 2 and up. Just ten bucks, not too shabby if you ask me.
