So, uh, this game. On Switch 2, if you haven’t heard. Mission: Check out the planet’s center, for… reasons? Anyway, here goes. Ever just think… banana? Like, “Whoa, banana!” And I’m not kidding. Donkey Kong Bananza, or whatever it’s called, is just—how do I put this—fun? Yeah, fun.

There’s this thing about blowing up the landscape. Movement feels all bouncy, with those wild, totally out-there transformations. It’s messy but somehow, like, awesome? And Donkey Kong himself, man, he’s got this whole new look. Gone is the sneaky guy from Donkey Kong Country. Nope, now he’s, I don’t know, all happy and in love with bananas and Pauline, of course. Who else?

Picture this: Pauline’s on edge, losing her nerve, then there’s DK, staring with those huge, innocent eyes. Boom! She’s confident and singing like a champ. Made me think, “Hey, we all need that kind of person.” The one who just sees the best in us, makes the scary stuff fade away. Gotta love it. Seriously, I’m thrilled he’s back. Might be his best gig yet.
