Let’s dive into the latest updates from the Nintendo Switch eShop. This week brings some exciting highlights, including the action-packed platformer Antonblast and a revamped collection from the beloved Legacy of Kain series. Starting with Antonblast, this game is a high-energy platformer with a cartoonish vibe, throwing you into bizarre worlds where deals with the devil add a twisty challenge. The gameplay centers around causing mayhem, complete with dynamite as your main tool. The excitement escalates with an end-of-level twist where you must race back to the start before everything goes kaboom! We’re in the middle of reviewing this game and will drop our thoughts soon, so keep an eye out.
Next on the list is the Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered. This series has a cult following and for a good reason. It originally kicked off in 1996, and while Soul Reaver is technically the sequel to Blood Omen, it has a unique narrative focusing on the resurrected vampire, Kain, as he seeks revenge. It’s a treat for fans of dark fantasy.
And guess what? Tetris is back. Now available on Nintendo Switch Online, the NES version offers that classic puzzle fun we all love. We’ve been playing it a bunch and we’ll be sharing our experiences in the upcoming episode of the Pure Nintendo Podcast.
