Sure thing, here’s my take on it:
So, here’s the scoop on Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Ever heard of it? If not, brace yourself, because it’s about to drop like, really soon. I’m talking about this uber-cool Ming Dynasty action RPG from some folks over at Leenzee. Yeah, they’re the up-and-comers from China who are giving us a fresh new Soulslike. I think that’s what they’re called, right? Soulslike? Anyway, not my wheelhouse, but still sounds rad.
Every time this game pops up, people seem to completely love it. No kidding, the reception’s been really good. But now – and I swear time flies – we’re so close to the launch. And guess what? The devs have spilled the beans on some juicy details. Finally!
Okay, mark your calendars. July 24 is the day, folks! Wuchang: Fallen Feathers hits PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Oh, and for those on Game Pass (PC and Xbox peeps, I see you), it’s gonna be available right from the get-go. But here’s what was bugging me: what on earth does one need in terms of PC hardware to run this baby smoothly?
Now, is Wuchang the absolute tech beast like, say, Black Myth: Wukong? Nah, but it’s still a looker! You won’t need a super-computer to get it working, I gather. Just recently, they dropped the PC specs and, while I’m no tech wizard, you can kinda tell what they’re aiming for performance-wise.
The nerds at Leenzee gave us two sets of specs: minimum and recommended. But, plot twist – they left out targets for the framerate and resolution. So, yeah, it’s a guessing game unless you literally dive into those tech details. Fun fact, or maybe not: both sets of specs got tested with that upscaling magic (DLSS/FSR). Handy to remember, right?
Alright, enough of me blabbering. Here’s a quick rundown:
Minimum Stuff You’ll Need:
- Windows 10 (64bit)
- Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- 16GB RAM (they say dual channel’s better)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
- DirectX 12
- And, oh, at least 60GB storage. Apparently, SSDs are the bee’s knees, but HDD should work too. All with DLSS/FSR on.
Recommended Level:
- Windows 10/11 (64bit)
- Intel Core i7-9700 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500
- Same RAM drama (16GB, dual channel)
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT / Intel Arc A750
- 60GB storage and no two ways about it – SSD is a must. Again, DLSS/FSR in play.
There’s a map somewhere showing the exact times for the launch, depending on where in the world you are. Let me try and remember some of those places… LA, Chicago, and NYC kick it off on the evening of July 23. And then you’ve got places like London waking up to it at 3am on the July 24. Wild, right?
Alright, I’m done rambling. If you’re into this sort of thing, definitely worth checking out. Or don’t. I mean, you do you, right?
