Oh man, where do I even start? So, Maelle—ever heard of her? She’s like, basically invincible in this game, even when folks thought all was lost. You hit Act 3, and bam! The whole skill tree opens. It’s wild. No kidding.
Before the first patch, there was this Stendhal ability. Sandfall dropped some notes on X (I swear, can’t get used to it not being called Twitter) saying it turned the game into a cakewalk. Like, thousands upon thousands of damage, just obliterating everything. Got nerfed, obviously, but she’s still a powerhouse. Makes me wonder if there was any point to other characters. Or maybe it’s just me getting lazy. Who knows, right?
You ever get that feeling of just cycling through characters just to ramp up for her big hit? Like burning enemies with Lune, then bam! Maelle jumps in with Swift Stride—next thing you know, she’s dealing absurd damage. For those long, drawn-out battles where enemies just won’t die, it’s oddly satisfying watching her numbers skyrocket.
Now, not everyone’s just about winning. Some just want to completely torch the game’s mechanics. Sciel’s kind of a hidden gem for that. Got her scythe swinging and folks out here playing with no care for the story, just breaking the game apart, bit by bit. It’s a vibe, I guess.
But back to Maelle and her cohort. Sciel’s great, but then there’s Lune, who’s more about healing and hitting multiple targets. Pretty handy, though not slamming out billions in damage. And Verso—don’t even get me started. Perfection’s a mess in my hands. Monoco was confusing too, till late game—finally got a grip on him. But expecting that 1.1 billion hit from him? Ha, not gonna happen anytime soon for me.
Despite the nerf, Stendhal and all, you can still totally wreck the game. Sandfall swears it, and people are constantly proving it. Fair’s fair, though. Those who’ve battled through Renoir’s Drafts know even a maxed-out character can sweat the big fights. Game’s a beast like that.
