Sure, why not. So, apparently, Diablo 4 is getting this chunky update. I mean, it’s like they’re handing out buffs like candy to all six classes. Not complaining though — who wouldn’t want to beef up their characters? And yeah, some quality-of-life tweaks for the Sins of the Horadrim season. Which, side note, “Horadrim” sounds like something outta a medieval cooking show, right? Anyway, this first big update for Season 9 is hitting on July 15. Mark those calendars, folks. Or don’t. I’m not your mom.
This new season — dropped on July 1 — dives deeper into the Horadrim saga. Astaroth’s back, with new tricks up his sleeve, and we’ve got Horadric Spells and Jewels thrown into the mix. Oh, and Strongrooms. I swear, it’s like Christmas came early for dungeon crawlers.
The patch is set to make some balance tweaks — don’t ask me what that even means half the time. Barbarians, though, they’re the real winners here. They’ve scored more buffs than anyone else, which means more damage and, presumably, more fun. Maybe they were feeling a bit left out? Who knows.
So many more little changes are rolling out too. Like, automatic pickup for Horadric Arcana in the seasonal content. Myriad Stones are packing an Attack Speed boost. Also, the channel time for Horadric Artifacts is getting trimmed down, which sounds cool, like less waiting, more smashing.
Bug fixes galore as you’d expect. Ever tried to do a quest and something just… breaks? Hopefully fewer of those now. Makes gaming less of a stop-and-fix experience, more of a, you know, actual game. A butcher or Treasure Goblin going MIA? Yeah, apparently not a ghost story anymore. And Astaroth, apparently you can hear him now.
Meanwhile, Diablo folks have been throwing down some goodies on Twitch. Free crossbow for your Rogue, just by spectating for a bit. It’s the Glensoul Arbalest, for those keeping track. Twitch watching is a legit Diablo strategy now, I guess? Until July 19, anyway. Collect those digital rewards while you can.
Lemme know if any of this sticks or if I just rambled right off topic. Updates drop soon so you can experience it all yourself, assuming I’m not hallucinating new patch notes. Fun times ahead. Or not. Totally your call.
