Alright, so today, like, it’s kind of a big deal for Honkai: Star Rail. Everyone’s been on the edge of their seats for this first-ever team-up event. It’s got the whole Fate/stay night vibe going on. I still don’t get why they waited this long, but maybe that’s just me being impatient?
And the whole thing ties into patch 3.4 — crazy, right? That patch, by the way, didn’t just drop a bunch of Fate stuff — nope, there was more to it. But more on that later.
Oh, and about cookies? Something about targeting. Not my thing to mess with. Avoiding cookie settings just seems like a good idea sometimes, like not poking a sleeping bear. Anyway, here’s what’s happening.
We all got a heads-up from a live talk back in June. Seriously, who hasn’t been hyped about the guest stars from Fate/stay night? Definitely top under-the-radar, yet everyone’s radar’s buzzing.
Now, and this is wild, the collab isn’t just a blink-and-you-miss-it deal. They’ve kept quiet on the exact end, but whispers say it might roll until November-ish. Might be true, might not. Love the suspense.
Saber jumps in as a 5-Star hero, Wind/Destruction style. And Archer’s tagging along too, but he’s more Quantum/Hunt. Get this — Archer’s free if you log in when the collab’s live. Saber, though? Yeah, you’ll need luck on your side for that pull. Oh, and Archer’s got enough gear to hit level 60 out of the gate. Handy, right?
You’re getting four special banners, focusing on Saber and Archer, plus their gear. Sadly, no luck boost for 4-star goodies. Oh, and 200 warps will snag you Saber’s special gear. I mean, if you’re into lots of warps.
Random fact: No English voices for these new Fate folks. Weird. Especially since MiHoYo’s been kinda strict about voice actors in strikes. Just… interesting.
Oh! Before I completely forget, there’s this new storyline bit — Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail. And for 30 days until August 11, there’s this combat event going on. Rewards and stuff, but make sure you grab them before they’re gone.
Earlier this month they tossed in extra characters not tied to Fate. Who knew Phainon, a once side-liner in Honkai: Star Rail, would step up as a full player? If you’re curious, she’s a 5-star, Physical/Destruction kind of hero.
Here’s something else: Phases of rerun stuff also showed up with patch 3.4 on July 2. Old faces like Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle came back. Then, from July 23, Firefly (new, cool outfit alert), Jingliu, and Blade are revisiting.
Update 3.4 did wonders for a few others. Kafka and Silver Wolf got spruced up, lending a fresh twist to Blade and a good timing nod to Jingliu. That’s it, I guess. Or not. I dunno. Exciting times!
