Sure, here’s a reimagined version of that piece:
Okay, so here’s the thing. I woke up today and, for some weird reason, couldn’t stop thinking about this game—Grit and Valor – 1949. No clue why I’m fixated on it, but I just gotta share what’s bouncing around in my head. So, it’s coming to VR soon—like, they announced it’s hitting Quest, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets. And it’s one of those real-time roguelite things, which always sounds fancy even if I’m never 100% sure what that means. Maybe you know?
Anyway, it first hit PCs earlier this year. You’re in charge of these tiny mechs, which is cute and terrifying all at once. The mission? Bash through the Evil Axis forces (not kidding, that’s what they’re called) and free Europe from their mechanical henchmen. A tall order, really.
You get to pick how your mech goes to battle, sort of like a Build-a-Bear but for destruction. Different pilots, swappable parts like cockpits and weapons, the whole shebang. Customize it till your heart’s content or just until you get bored, I guess.
Now, this studio, Milky Tea—great name, right?—they teamed up with these VR gurus at nDreams to make it all virtual reality-ready. So, basically, you’ll practically be on the battlefield, moving mechs like a general with way too much coffee in their system.
Mark your calendars for August 21st—or don’t, live your life. That’s when it’s supposed to land on the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and above, and also on the PlayStation Store for PS5 and PSVR 2—heads up, VR included. If you already own it on Steam, lucky you, it’s a free update for PC VR. Bonus!
And, yeah, that’s my little spill on it. Just a jumble of thoughts whacking around my brain that I had to let loose. Maybe you’ll check it out, maybe not. Either way, it’ll be swirling in my head for the rest of the day. Or until lunch at least.
