Sure thing! Let me just dive into this and see what comes out.
So, I was minding my own business (yeah right, like that ever happens) when I stumbled across this game, Arken Age. It’s coming to Quest 3 and Quest 3S sometime in November. It was originally just doing its thing on PSVR 2 and PC VR earlier this year. And honestly, who saw this coming? I didn’t, but hey, here we are.
This game, Arken Age, man… it’s like someone at the dev team has been binging VR titles and then decided to drop a masterpiece. I’m talking vibes that just scream Stormland and Lone Echo — you know, those classics from way back in 2019 and 2017. It’s like they knew how to make VR feel real, like you’re reaching out and actually touching the world. Creepy good, right?
Anyway, this game’s got everything – you swing swords, shoot stuff, and climb all over the place. I mean, the climbing alone had me feeling like a kid on a jungle gym, except I wasn’t afraid of falling and cracking open my… well, you get it. They’ve nailed this whole “being there” thing. That’s what the cool kids call embodiment and diegetic design, apparently.
Graphics? Yeah, they’re nice. Better than your run-of-the-mill VR view, which can sometimes look like someone smeared Vaseline over your eyes. Not with Arken Age. It’s not exactly a carbon copy of the fancy PC versions or whatever, but on the Quest, it looks sharp. Well, from the trailer anyway.
And here’s the kicker – it’s only gonna work on the beefy Quest 3 and 3S. So, if you’re still rocking that old Quest 2, tough luck. It’s probably collecting dust in a drawer somewhere, I guess.
So here we are, waiting for November – like it’s the season for games or something. Price? Who knows. It’s like they’re playing hard to get. You can pop it on your wishlist in the Horizon store and let them notify you. Or just be that person who checks every day, because why not?
Now, where was I before getting sidetracked? Oh yeah, waiting for this game. November can’t come fast enough.
