Sure thing, let’s dive right in!

So, I was just minding my own business today — you know, scrolling through the usual stuff online — and bam, there it is: ShopTo announcing pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2. Yeah, the follow-up to that little machine we’ve all been hooked on since forever. Now, I’m not saying I was planning to spend money today, but these things happen, right?
Okay, so here’s the deal – they’re asking for £520.85. And wait, it gets slightly better. If you’re one of those Silver Members, it’s like a teeny discount at £515.64, and Gold Members – yeah, those folks dropping serious cash all the time – get it for £510.43. Feels like gold gets you a couple of coins off these days. The bundle has the console itself, a snazzy extra pair of those Joy-Con 2 thingies (those controllers you always lose in the couch), plus this Nintendo Switch 2 Camera. Like, not sure what the camera does yet, but hey, sounds neat.
Oh, and they’re doing that ‘one per customer’ thing. Supposedly to fend off scalpers. Maybe it works, maybe not. Reminds me of the time I tried buying concert tickets and ended up with none because… well, bots nabbed them all. Different story though.
Earlier today, Nintendo gave some corporate speak – something about aiming to sell 15 million units before the fiscal year is out (March 31, 2026, if we’re being specific). They’re talking about expanding and whatnot, mentioning new games and unique experiences. Kind of hyped, kind of curious if it’ll all pan out.
Circle back to your calendars, folks! June 5, 2025 – that’s the magic date. Feels both super close and super far, weirdly. It’ll set you back £395.99 if you’re in the UK. Over in Europe, it’s tagged at €469.99, and in the US, it’s $449.99. I guess that’s the price of leveling up your gaming life.
Anyway, that’s my rambling update on the whole thing. Gonna keep an eye out for that trailer they announced. Always something with Nintendo, and somehow they get you every time. Maybe it’s magic. Or nostalgia. Who knows?
Catch you later!
