Whoa, so Nintendo’s at it again, huh? They just said their new thing, Drag x Drive—sounds like a weird action movie, right?—will roll out on August 14, the same day Madden NFL 26 drops. That’s gonna be a wild day for gamers!
Anyway, this whole Drag x Drive gig gives us a sneak peek at what’s coming for Switch 2 in 2025. Might help us figure out Nintendo’s game plan post-launch too. Not gonna lie, this game sounds kinda funky with its wheelchair basketball and mouse controls… and it’s like 20 bucks? Cheap for a taste of something crazy different, I’d say.
August ain’t gonna be so slow after all. We get Drag x Drive, and boom, here comes Kirby and the Forgotten Land with some new tricks up its sleeve—Star-Crossed Land or something. They’re tossing in those wild Mouthful Modes too. Sounds like a summer of, “Oh hey, didn’t see that coming.”
July’s got a thing going too. Donkey Kong Bananza—yeah, real original name—and a Switch 2 sprinkle of Super Mario Party Jamboree. A bit of the old, a splash of new, mix it together and see what happens. Fun cocktail, maybe.
Now, what’s up with September? Looks kinda empty right now. But don’t panic—third parties got our backs with Borderlands 4 and some other stuff that sounds too cool to be real.
Then, October hits with Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Another one of those games straddling between Switch and Switch 2. Those cross-generation deals, man. Sometimes cool, sometimes you’re like, “Just pick one already!”
Oh, and don’t forget about these wild cards hanging in 2025. Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. No fixed dates, but Metroid could land in September while people still munch on that Kirby content.
And the big names dropping, like Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and Hades 2, seem like they’ll give folks lots to chew on while waiting for the next surprise announcement. And Call of Duty…? Maybe? Who knows!
Surprises? Nintendo loves them. Like pulling a rabbit out of a hat! Remember those GameCube classics, too? Stuff like Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi’s Mansion might just pop up on the Switch 2. So if you thought you could predict Nintendo, think again. They got more tricks up their sleeves than a magician at a kid’s party!
