Okay, so here’s the scoop — there’s this new update, Title Update 2, coming for Monster Hunter Wilds. And Capcom, in one of their like, pretty intense livestream things, dropped a bunch of info about it. So here I am, trying to unpack it. Let’s see how this goes.
First off, they finally gave us a date—June 30, early Monday. But, heads up, there’s going to be some downtime. I mean, maintenance and all that, gotta keep things running smooth, right?
Now, let’s dig into the good stuff. New monsters! Lagiacrus and Seregios, if those names ring a bell. Lagiacrus brings some underwater fighting action. Yep, underwater. You might be flailing without your weapon a bit. Oh, and a side note—you’ve gotta finish the main mission called A World Turned Upside Down. Sounds kinda dramatic, doesn’t it?
Seregios? Same boat—you need to be at least Hunter Rank 31. And both these beasts drop materials for new armor sets for you and your Palico. And apparently, they’ve got these hardcore, Tempered versions lurking if you’re HR 41 or up.
Oh, then there’s this Uth Duna fella. An Arch-tempered version won’t be around until July 30. Seems they’re doling out challenges bit by bit. HR 50, anyone? Yeah, it’s a toughie, I guess. New gear if you make it, though.
Crafting fans, this might be your jam—layered weapons. Basically, you keep your favorite weapon stats but switch up its look. You might have to hunt down some rare stuff though. Why make it easy, huh?
There’s also smaller tweaks here and there, like changing up your main handler. Alma or Erik? Take your pick. Plus, a new support dude with a Sword & Shield. Cool, right?
Then there’s this event—Festival of Accord: Flamefete. From July 23 to August 6. Sounds like a summer bash with new armor, a themed Grand Hub, and probably some crazy special meals at that cantina spot.
And, yep, they couldn’t resist teasing Title Update 3—coming in September. New monster, new festivities—the usual.
But, let’s not forget the bigger picture. Wilds is not having its best moment. It’s kinda struggling on Steam—yep, really. Even got a ton of negative reviews there. I guess this update’s got its work cut out. Can it fix things? Who knows. Stay tuned.
So, there you go. Not super polished, but hey, more authentic—right?
