Hey, so… here’s a tale from the world of funny randomness. Quite recently, those folks at FromSoftware dropped an update for Elden Ring Nightreign that everyone’s been raving about. Remember how they promised some duo thing and beefed-up fights? Yeah, me neither until I saw the patch notes—my attention span’s like that sometimes.
So, these Duo Expeditions? Still missing in action. But hey, bam! Out of nowhere, we get the first taste of those “enhanced” Nightlord fights. The way I stumbled upon it? Classic. Signed off after a day of reporting about some tiny update—then the real gossip drops. Like, why do games do that? Sneaky, I tell ya.
Late last night, surprise surprise, players bump into this new boss. Apparently, FromSoft later revealed in some blog that these bosses are dubbed Everdark Sovereigns. Honestly, sounds like a fancy seafood dish. But no, it means these guys are tougher, meaner versions of the Nightlords.
Each week, a fresh Everdark Sovereign appears. Catch is, only players who’ve bested the original Nightlord can even face these new guys. Right now, you can take on the Sovereign of Gaping Jaws (sounds painful? probably is). Next in line is Sentient Pest, then Darkdrift Knight—roll call for all the brave souls.
More big bosses in the pipeline—Tricephalos, Augur, you know the lot. They’ll make their grand debut eventually. And about that Sovereign Gaping Jaws (or ‘Adel’ if you’re feeling formal), it’s around until Thursday, June 25th. Mark the calendars, maybe, if banging your head against the wall is your kind of fun.
Oh, and there’s this new NPC now. Guess what? They trade your hard-earned Sovereign Sigils for cool Relics and whatnot. First-time bonuses included, which almost makes the struggle worth it. If juggling events is your jam, this NPC’s got you covered, but for some Sigils, of course. Always with the Sigils…
People say there might be more secrets tucked away. More digging, more fighting, more whatever. I’d say prep up if you haven’t faced all Nightlords yet. Some weaknesses guide exists out there—probably worth a look.
