Alright, so let’s dive into this—COLD VR is getting a major upgrade. Yeah, you heard that right. The game with all that mind-bending, time-twisting stuff is going next level. All thanks to folks at ALLWARE and Perp Games. Now, I’ve played a few games in my time, and let me tell you, time slowing down when you move? It’s like trying to sprint through molasses. Seriously throws you off, but in a good way. Makes you think twice about every little move. At least, that’s how it worked for me. Or maybe I’m just bad at it?
Anyway, the new version is dropping on June 2nd. More levels, more chaos. Five new ones, to be exact. Just in time for those of us who’ve played every square inch of the original. Oh, and they’re also updating the AI. Like, finally, right? Supposedly, this means better gameplay—not sure what that says about the old AI, but let’s not get sidetracked.
And there’s something about making the Backroom levels optional? Those were either genius or complete madness—I’m leaning toward madness—but that’s me. Plus, expect a fresh new look to the intro and main menu. No more fumbling around, hopefully.
Oh, before I forget. Catching weapons too. New mechanic alert! And better visuals with that room-scale movement thing. Got one of those bHaptics vests lying around? Dust it off because they’re adding support for that too. Also, fingers crossed, the PSVR 2 version isn’t a myth. They swear it’s “coming soon” but, well, we’ve heard that before, haven’t we?
If you haven’t checked it out, Cold VR—go grab it. Quest 2, PC VR, it’s $20 bucks on the Horizon Store or Steam. What’s a game if not a little unpredictable chaos?
