Okay, here goes nothing. So, I’ve been gushing about this game, EVE Vanguard. Can’t help it, really. CCP, the genius minds behind EVE Online, are cooking up something funky in the FPS world. You know Destiny? Helldivers 2? Yep, kinda like those, but with EVE’s mojo sprinkled all over. It’s like, they’re trying to level up the game for us average Joes. Fingers crossed it doesn’t flop. Or maybe it will — who knows?
Lots of folks are skeptical. I mean, big claims need big proof, yeah? Check out the link above if you want the deets, and I’ll keep you posted through EVE FanFest 2025. But let’s cut to the chase: CCP Games is waving a big flag saying, “Try it, it’s awesome!” So, they spilled the beans at FanFest — EVE Vanguard’s early access on Steam hits in Summer 2026.
Oh, oh! But here’s a kicker for you impatient types. There’s a sneak peek coming September 16. Way before the main reveal. Shooter fans, this is your jam. Details are all over their Discord, so dive in if you’re curious!
In their words, this MMOFPS is like a sandbox shooter with activities and experiences tied by rewards and progress. You do you, set your goals, win your battles. Sounds intense, right? Scavenge, hunt, get crafty on these war-torn worlds. Lotsa big promises, but kinda intriguing. I’ve seen a bit, but hush now, embargoes and all.
But hey, some dates might surprise you. Remember when I wrote about consoles getting EVE Vanguard (sometime in 2028, be patient!)? Initially, we expected different launch dates but — plot twist — Early Access is now a whole year early. Other dates? Still a mystery. Gonna prod CCP about that this weekend.
