Oh man, so here we go again with Simon The Sorcerer, huh? ININ Games and this place called Smallthing Studios—I’ve never heard of them, but maybe that’s just me—dropped a story trailer for the prequel. Yep, they’re taking us back “a few weeks before” the OG game. Why “a few weeks”? I guess time travel gets messy, or maybe it’s just a cool number. Who even knows?
Anyway, they kept that same cartoon vibe, which kinda makes me nostalgic. Real-time sequences, magic, and puzzle-solving are all thrown in there. I heard they’re tying it all with a gripping storyline. “Gripping” might be overkill, but hey, I’m just here for the chaos. And then it hit me—they’re gonna answer questions from the first game. Like, finally.
Guess what, Chris Barrie and Erik Borner are back doing the original voices. And wait for it—Rick Astley (yes, Mr. Never Gonna Give You Up) is involved with the soundtrack. His track "Together Forever" is part of the whole deal. Cue the 80s flashbacks.
The big day? 28 October 2025. Mark it—on your calendars, in your brain, scribbled on that post-it by your desk. It’s dropping worldwide on the Nintendo Switch, both in stores and on the eShop, so no excuses.
