Sure thing, buckle up because here we go with my unfiltered take:

I don’t even know where to start with this. Fast Fusion is coming out soon, right alongside Mario Kart World for the Nintendo Switch 2. Apparently, there’s this voice actor, Jack Merluzzi, who’s doing some of the voice work. I mean, he’s been around in games like Tekken and, oh, some F-Zero ones too. That name feels like a blast from some nostalgic past — like, why do I even remember this? Odd. But it stuck.
Anyway — no, wait — Fast Fusion has this gimmick where you can combine two racing machines. Like, mash them together into one speedy what-the-heck rocket car thing. Modified stats and all that jazz. I guess it sounds cool. Or maybe it’s just another thing to jiggle the joy-cons at.
Oh! It’s cheap too. One of those kind of “grab this game because why not” deals for people snagging the console on launch day. Nintendo’s probably banking on that — using their hardware like it’s showroom eye candy or something.
And more about Jack Merluzzi — he’s been the voice guy for past Fast titles. So I guess he’d be yelling “Start your engines!” or something similar. No confirmation on his exact role, though, so that bit’s up in the air.
The Fast series itself has this long, winding road with Nintendo — starting with WiiWare, if anyone remembers that. Honestly, repeating past hits is the name of the game here. Fast RMX did wonders on the original Switch apparently, and now Fast Fusion has some heavy expectations weighing it down. Like, no pressure, right?
Meanwhile, F-Zero’s kind of chilling on the sidelines with re-releases and whatever else. Fast is apparently holding the futuristic racing torch on Nintendo systems. But with Switch 2, it’s not the only fish in the sea anymore. Mario Kart World’s tagging along, and F-Zero GX decided to gate-crash the party too. So, more to race, more to love, or maybe just more choices for decision paralysis. Who knows?
And that’s it, or at least all that’s rattling in my brain for now. Can’t wait to see how this stack of pixels turns out when it drops. Fast Fusion, good luck. May your tracks be forever fast, or something like that.
