So here’s the deal with Star Wars Outlaws. Yeah, it kinda stumbled out of the gate last summer. Folks weren’t exactly lining up with bouquets and applause, you know? Forums, especially on Reddit, are basically a swarm of “Is it worth it?” questions till this day. But let me just say, if you’ve got a bit of Han Solo spirit lurking in you – you know, that rogue charm and a thing for adventure – then, spoiler alert: it’s definitely “worth it.”
Now, about those stealth sections everyone loves to hate. Man, I remember when getting spotted was an instant fail. Pfft. But hey, they patched it up in November 2024. Thank the gaming gods! Now, if you’re caught sneaking, just channel your inner DeVito and start blasting away. Seriously, the gunplay is a blast. No pun intended. I mean, stealth is cool, but there’s something wickedly satisfying about popping a Stormtrooper.
Anyway, with that headache gone, there’s just so much to dive into. Planet-hopping is where it’s at, showcasing iconic spots like Kijimi from Episode IX and Cantonica, to that swanky Canto Bight from Episode VIII. Tatooine? They’ve nailed it. Especially Mos Eisley – that cantina is legendary. Han shot first? You bet your credits he did. And Jabba’s Palace? Easter eggs galore!
Okay, so let’s not daydream here. Outlaws isn’t flawless – it’s got more concepts crammed in than a kid’s toy box. But honestly? Do what you want. I skipped most of the side stuff, like speeder races. And space battles? Only tackled them when the story shoved me that way. But the platforming and shooting? Chef’s kiss.
Oh, Sabacc! Totally deserves its own spotlight, like Gwent from The Witcher 3. Simple, thrilling, and heck, I’d play it in Vegas if I could. Usually, I steer clear of DLCs – there’s just so much out there! But the “Wild Card” mission was irresistible, all because of Sabacc.
So, they dropped another DLC, “A Pirate’s Fortune.” Seems like it’s wrapping things up, though. But hang tight! Switch 2 players, you can get your space adventure fix soon. Imagine Sabacc, space chases, and Mario Kart World, all hanging out together.
If you jumped ship early on or need a new world to get lost in, check it out again. Seriously, Sabacc alone is worth diving back into this chaotic galaxy.
